Behavioral Assessments
New Church Specialties offers a one day assessment for Potential Church Planters. This one day assessment is a good option when an assessment center is not readily available or where a three day assessment center is not feasible.
There are several aspects to the one day assessment that include:
- 4-5 hour behavioral interview. This behavior interview process, first designed by Dr. Chuck Ridley, has been used with great success for over 20 years in assessing NewStart leaders. The assessor travels to the location of the candidate and conducts the behavior interview with the candidate and spouse (if married).
- A Personality Temperament analysis. We use the Taylor-Johnson Temperament analysis as a tool to help determine temperament.
- A Spiritual gift mix analysis. We identify spiritual gifts that are active in both the candidate and spouse.
- A Personality Profile analysis. We use the Personality Plus and Heartwise tool to provide a profile of the personality type of the potential leader and spouse.
- A leadership style assessment to determine leadership style of candidate.
- 360 reference assessment. We conduct a complete reference assessment interviewing people who have served with, under and supervised the candidate.
After the assessment we provide a 20-30 page report to the Judicatory leader that summarizes each of the assessment components and includes a recommendation for church planting or refocusing potential.
