The Healthy Small Church
The needs of the small church (under 50 in attendance) are unique. NCS has worked with hundreds of churches in this category and we have developed some tools specific to the smaller church. We have designed a one day workshop called; "The Healthy Small Church."
In this workshop, we look at some of the problems common to most small churches. We then discuss the initial steps required for a turn-around. After that we discuss some specific areas that are necessities for a healthy small church. We look at the importance of vision. We will discuss the steps needed to ensure healthy pastoral leadership. We examine the need for healthy, spiritual lay leadership. We talk about conflict management issues specific to the small church. We close with a discussion about the importance of excellence in all a church does and how smaller churches can often accomplish more by doing less.
