District/Judicatory Coaching
The research for church planting, ReStarting and ReFocusing reveals that coaching is critical to the success of a NewStart, ReStart or Refocused church. For the past nine years NCS has and continues to develop a coaching system. One of the key questions for many districts/judicatories is how can we effectively provide coaching for the local church?
NCS has developed three effective ways that will assist the district/judicatory in providing that coaching:
- Coaching Systems. This is a complete package that includes training coaches on the district/judicatory in ReFocusing and Church Health. We will provide resources to the district/judicatory to develop a system of assigning and tracking coaching relationships. We will provide an ongoing coaching relationship with the coaches to resource and encourage them in developing coaching excellence. Pricing is determined by the unique needs of each district.
- Cluster Coaching. One of the reasons many churches will not contract with a coach is finances. NCS has developed a specialized coaching arrangement that allows for an NCS coach to meet with 5 churches in a cluster 3-5 times over the period of a year. The meeting will focus on education, development of a Church Action Plan and accountability.
- Model Churches. We will assist the district in choosing 3-5 churches to serve as model churches on the district/judicatory. The idea is that these model church pastors will become coaches after they work through the development and implementation of a church action plan. NCS will provide a single coach to work with these model churches over a 2-3 year period. This will include 4 on-site visits per year to each church (during the same visit) to meet with their leadership/refocus team for education, strategy sessions and accountability.
