Commitments to
Our Donors

We believe that the way an organization handles its finances is a reflection of its integrity in every other area. We have, therefore, established clear guidelines on the way NCS resources are raised and used. Here are the guidelines NCS follows in Our Commitments To Our Donors.

1.  The ministry of NCS belongs to God.  The Lord has sovereignly chosen to place His hand of approval on us. Nevertheless, He gives and sometimes takes away (Job 1:21).  If He ever closes the door on our work, we will accept His leading.  Until then, we will devote all of our energies to the mission He has given us.

2. The first priority is the local church.  We ask you not to support NCS until your obligations to your local church have been met.  We believe the local church is God’s plan and vehicle for bringing salvation to the world.

3. Every gift, sacrificially given!  We consider every contribution we receive from you as a gift from God, sent through loving people who have sacrificed to make the gift possible.  We will never take our financial support for granted, nor ever cease to be deeply grateful for every penny the Lord entrusts to us!

4. Every gift, strategically leveraged!  For every dollar you donate, NCS pledges to multiply it through scholarships, donated work and fees for service.  In the past two years, the ratio has been 20% - 80%!  In other words, for every $1 donated, NCS has matched it in ministry with $4!

5. Operating with open books.  We will be completely open about NCS finances.  We publish an annual report that declares all NCS income and expenses which is available to you.  Our 990’s are also available upon request.  We undergo regular auditing to insure effective accountability (2 Corinthians 8:21).

6. A commitment to excellence, not extravagance.  Our obligation is to spend monies given sacrificially in a conservative and wise manner.  Every penny you give will be stretched as far as possible, keeping necessary overhead lean and efficient, while maintaining ministry excellence.

7. Our attitude during lean times.  One of the ways we can discern the Lord's will regarding the continuation of our work is through the support He sends (or doesn't send) from His people. Therefore, during lean times we will make our obligations known to you — but never manipulate you in seeking contributions. We will never resort to what we consider to be disrespectful methods of fund-raising, even when our needs are serious.

8. Using the money of vendors.  When we make a purchase, we will pay the invoice within 30 days, if possible.  We do not intend to use the money of our vendors.

9. Donor and mailing list privacy.  We will never sell or rent our contacts or mailing list to those wishing to use the names and addresses of our donors, clients or partners. We will always maintain the tightest security on the information you give us.

10. Keeping our donors informed.  In maintaining our accountability to you, we will keep you informed of the ministry progress of NCS.  We believe you can discern the will of God regarding your stewardship as long as we give you the right information.

11. We will pray for you. The Bible says if you share financially with us, that is our obligation to you. We take the Great Commission of Jesus (Matthew 28:18-20) very seriously and understand the gift of giving is vital to its fulfillment (Romans 12:8).

As an NCS donor, we pledge to live before you with integrity in all of our financial matters.  Thank you for the trust you have placed in us!
