Do You Need A Coach?

Thanks for your interest in NCS coaching. Our team of nationally qualified coaches have all been successful NewStart, ReStart, ReFocusing or Parent church leaders. They understand the NCS Training System very well and are there to help you implement your Church Action Plan with skill, accountability and encouragement.

The NCS Coaching Office is located in Orlando, FL. You may contact us in the following ways:

Phone: 407.446.4444
E-Mail: office@newchurchspecialties.org

There are usually four parties involved in NCS Coaching Contracts:

  1. The individual being coached
  2. The NCS Coach
  3. The District Superintendent or denominational supervisor
  4. The NCS Office

NCS never "assigns" a coach because we believe that good coaching is best delivered when "affinity" is present. For that reason, when an individual has completed New Church University and is seeking to secure a coach, the NCS office suggests two or three coaches for them to interview. The individual being coached makes the final decision regarding coach selection. Here are the basic steps to follow in securing an NCS qualified coach:

  1. Contact the NCS Coaching Office, expressing your interest in securing a coach.
  2. Fill out a Coaching Request form which assesses your particular situation.
  3. Interview and Select a coach from among the individuals sent to you for consideration.
  4. Inform the NCS Coaching Office of your decision and ask them to draw up a first-draft contract.
  5. NCS will e-mail the initial contract to all parties involved for approval.
  6. After both feedback and approval from all parties involved, the contract is put into effect.

NCS Coaching Vision

The vision of New Church Specialties is that every NewStart, ReStart or ReFocusing leader we work with will go through a clearly defined training process. We also envision every leader becoming competent in their understanding of the new church or refocusing church process and submit to the discipline of writing a detailed Church Action Plan. The Action Plan should cover from the point of beginning to the point where the church is:

  1. Self-supporting (can pay its own bills without outside funding)
  2. Self-propagating (has achieved a measure of church health)
  3. Self-governing (has been fully organized)
  4. Self-reproducing (has plans to sponsor a new church)

Our vision is also that every leader will have available to them, a Qualified Mentor and Coach who is knowledgeable of the NewStart, ReStart or ReFocusing church process. The role of the coach is to help the leader successfully navigate the critical first 12-24 months of the project.  Please visit the coaching section of NCS on the Web to review all of the persons who have been nationally qualified to coach using the NCS training system. If you are interested in joining the NCS team as a mentor/coach, please contact the coaching office.
