Coaching ReStart Pastors:
The focus of NCS is not just to provide conferences or training for our partner judicatories and denominations but rather to help them build training systems. A key part of the NCS Training System is coaching. What is the difference in the performance of a NewStart or ReStart church planter that is trained, coached and develops a detailed plan, compared to a planter that is sent out on their own with no such support? National studies done over the last several years reveal that church planters who have no specific training system and develop no plan have a 30% chance for the church to be functioning and viable five years later. Church planters who are trained, develop a plan and are coached have an 89% chance for the church to be functioning and viable five years later! At New Church Specialties, this is why we so deeply believe that training, planning and coaching is critical!
NCS has developed a number of resources to assist NewStart and ReStart planters in the healthy launch of a new church. We provide some information at NCS on the Web and other information when a leader enrolls and attends New Church University. But never forget, as a NewStart or ReStart church planter, YOU NEED MORE THAN INFORMATION. We believe every planter needs quality coaching! You need both insight and advice, delivered at the moment when it is needed during the initial days of your NewStart or ReStart church planting project. The role of the coach is to help you successfully navigate the critical first 12-24 months of your church plant. As you complete New Church University, the NCS Coaching Office is committed to assisting and helping you select the right coach. For more information about NCS Coaching, contact Rev. Tim Gates, our NCS National Coaching Director at office@newchurchspecialties.org or (407) 446-4444.
